Custom Search on a WP Site Homepage

Good day all!

I kindly need help or guidance adding a custom search on the home page. It's a real estate site so client wants visitors to be able to search the site with only the 2 variables: type of properties and location.

I'm a complete newbie and I'm not yet sure how to pull it off. It would be great if you can help me find what I need here.

Thank you so much, in advance.

You can try this plugin Dave's Live Search This has worked great for me.

Hi nylerigor There are a few ways to solve your problem. If you are a complete newbie, you should take the WordPress and PHP tracks to help you developing something, but there's a plugin called Custom Search that may help you.

This plugin works with custom post types of WordPress.

Hope it helps, =D see ya.

Hi Tiago Rodrigues, thanks for the tip. :) But I needed something more than the custom search.

Still crunching on those tracks. Wish me luck!
