Custom UIButton does not register taps

I've created a custom UIButton with a triangle shape, using bezier curves. The problem is that the button only registers taps when they arrive from the text label. When the user taps the triangle on a surface that doesn't have any text on it, the taps are not registered. What do you think is the problem?
