Customize UIImagePickerController

Here is what I've encountered. I have successfully customized UI for my UIImagePickerController. However, I try to use an image and gesture to make user have clues of tap-to-focus functionality. But When I add an image and gesture to cameraOverlayView, the gesture won't be delivered to UIImagePickerController. So the tap-to-focus won't be triggered.

I want to know is there any workaround for this ??
