Data Science TechDegree

Has anyone heard anything from TreeHouse about creating a techdegree in data science? I have a MS in Bio and lots of data makes sense to me. I switched from full stack to front end and I enjoy it more, but I am just weighing options right now.

I don't believe there is a data science techdegree but there are a lot of courses that teach you how to use database software such as SQL.

A certificate from Oracle shows legitimacy, and I believe they have a database/SQL certification.

This is definitely something we're interested in, but we have not committed to one yet. It would take us quite a bit of work to add the projects and services for a full Techdegree, BUT we did build out the foundation for the curriculum, which we currently offer in these three tracks.

As for Oracle certifications, those can be helpful specifically for database-focused roles like DBAs, systems administrators, or developers on the Oracle stack, but they aren't as useful directly for data science.

Would be awesome with a Data Science Techdegree, but I realize it might be hard to create right now. The three tracks you mentioned was great, to give you some feedback.

I would love to see a data science techdegree, currently doing an IBM data science certificate on coursera and it doesn't come close to how user friendly and accessible the treehouse courses are.

Does anyone have suggestions for good introductory data science courses?
