Database, workbench disabled/crashed/or? my phpMyadmin and Wordpress DB..

Love the db lessons however when I installed Mysql workbench (already had xampp/apache/Mysql installed) after spending a couple hours with the workbench working in the lessons I closed it and could NOT access my "local WP database" nor my "local phpMyadmin" panel..Just a blank white server screen..I"ve since Un-installed xampp (and workbench) and fortunately had a recent WP db backup so it's all good now but I stil want to continue with learning the database module. I don't want to download and install workbench to have this all happen again...Anyone have a similar case? Andrew Help ! :-) Dave C.

To All, So after doing a lot more research and familiar with mysql workbench I got brave and reinstalled the app. Keep in mind this was all after doing a complete un-install of xampp and mysql workbench. It works as expected now. I'm still not sure why the initial problems happened but I suspect that there were conflicts due to multiple instances of various files. I believe cleaning it all out and starting over cleared the way for success. May I recommend "Revo" Un-installer app. It goes much deeper if you choose in eliminating core files which normal un-installers do not. You can really clean everything while getting to choose the files to leave untouched. Peace to All.... DAve

hi Luis, I don't see in your post anything about uninstalling XAMPP as well as workbench app. It only worked for me AFTER both apps were then reinstalled. BACKUP ALL your Db,s first and anything else in your HTDOCS folder you wish to save. Good luck my friend. DC
