Python Dates and Times in Python (2014) Dates and Times strftime & strptime

date error

I keep getting an error that says to_string is returning "24 September 2015" instead of "24 September 2012" but I don't see where I wrote the wrong year. Aside from that error, does my code look correct?

# to_string(datetime_object) => "24 September 2012"
# from_string("09/24/12 18:30", "%m/%d/%y %H:%M") => datetime
import datetime

def to_string(datetime):
    return(datetime.strftime('%d-%B-%Y'))

def from_string(datetime):
    return(datetime.datetime.strptime('24-09-2012'))

The to_string method is returning a string of the form '24-September-2015' rather than a string of the form '24 September 2015'. Try changing each - to a space.

The year isn't wrong. The challenge is using a different date to test the code.

Thank you! Taking out the dashes returned the correct date.
