def product_idea(input("how many characters? ")) Can someone tell me how this is a syntax error?

suggestinator.py 
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + print("inator")
def product_idea(input("how many characters?  "))
if product_idea <= "3":
    raise ValueError("Are you sure you don't get it?")

Your are almost there you need to remove the function on top you dont need to rewrite the function like you did. Also remove the input there.Call you you if statement and remove the =. then return your statement without initator. You code should something like this

def suggest(product_idea): if len(product_idea) < 3 : raise ValueError ("......") return product_idea + "inator
