I've tried everything...
$( ".nav ul li" );
$( ".nav ul li a" );
$( "nav ul li" );
$( "nav ul li a" );
and all the same things with order of ul and li reversed. No luck.

So, the ul has the class of .nav... $("ul.nav li")
