I'm learning how develop and Android app using Java. But it seems that I wouldn't be able to implement technology that summarize text automatically. But it looks like I need another technology to summarize texts. Any advice to keep on going?

Treehouse Project ReviewerIt's difficult to know exactly what you're trying to do. If you're trying to come up with an algorithm that will summarize any amount of text you throw at it and it will summarize it into two to three lines, then of course you can do this with java. But the million dollar question is "How?"

Courses Plus Student 20,171 PointsWell I would like to summarize news feeds from my rss reader automatically with the app so like having 3 or 4 paragraphs with the most important things form the news. Any ideas?

Treehouse Project ReviewerThat's totally up to the programmer to decide. There's no formula for "summarizing the most important things". It's totally doable though. Try breaking your problem into tiny smaller problems that are manageable and you can overcome. When you get stuck on one of these smaller problems, that would be the right time to reach out and us (in my opinion).
I guess to answer your question. Yes, you can do this all in Java on the Android platform.
