Developing Using PC

Hi,

I got 2 questions :

1) I am trying to find the libraries for the files to be downloaded. But I cannot seem to find it, instead I went to the individual links to download all the programmes . Where do I find the libraries compatible with the lessons ? PS I tried looking all over the - Downloading Libraries Video and I cant seem to find the packaged programmes

2) I am using a PC and for my editor, I am using sublime text editor. I tried the technique shown in video (Setting Up Page) Instead I get a different window and not the text on my index.html. Please help ?

My results varied so much ... I figured I will ask for help

Help

Thanks in advance

To solve your first problem, the files that you're looking for are attached to video lessons in a sidebar. They're different in each video.

Could you provide some additional descriptions about your second problem? Screenshots, examples, anything will help. XD

Hey Ryan

Thanks for the response.

I tried looking for the files in the video "HTML5 Mobile UI: Downloading Libraries" under the download section. I however can only see Standard and High Def Videos as well as its Transcripts. Am I looking at the wrong place ?

For the second problem, I tried taking a screen shot and posting it into this email. I cannot seem to do so. However, in the video "HTML5 Mobile UI: Setting up the Page", Jim dragged and dropped the files to the editor which I tried. But instead of getting links, the sublime editor opened a new tab.

So sorry ... I could not take a picture

If the files aren't in the Downloads section, then I don't know where they would be. Sorry about that. :(

If you drag and drop a folder into Sublime, it will show that folder in the sidebar. If you drag and drop files, they will open in a new tab.

For how to insert images, there's a Markdown cheatsheet below the Provide an Answer box here. It'll show you how to insert images and other stuff.

Hope this helps. :D

I am a newbie ... Alot of things said kinda flew by me I dont understand paragraph 2 and 3 Could u be kind enough to explain para 2 and 3 please ?

Sorry for the "silly questions" and thank you so much for taking the time to help :)

No problem. In Sublime, there is a sidebar that acts as a file browser, similar in ways to Finder. It just allows you to see the folder that you're working in, move files around, etc. while still keeping your code front and center. If you want to view a folder in this sidebar, you need to drag that folder from Finder into Sublime. Dragging files into Sublime won't work, as Sublime opens files dragged onto it in a new tab.

If you want to insert images here in the forums, right below the reply box, there should be a paragraph...

"You can format your answer with Markdown. If you need a Markdown Cheatsheet, we've got you covered."

Click that Markdown cheatsheet link. There should be a section on images, showing you how to insert them with specific formatting so that the forums recognize them.

Hey Ryan,

Thank You Sir for your patience and the prompt answers. I realized that I am totally weak at this and now I am doing the building the websites tutorials as I realized I skipped probably 5 steps. I may be revisiting this area in hopefully 2 - 3 weeks.

Thanks Again :)
