14,967 PointsIt depends what you're looking to achieve exactly. But there are 2 ways I know of to edit pictures for production in a website and Treehouse can help with both.
Edit it PhotoShop (or similar) save the jpeg and use that in the site. Treehouse has a course to help get started, I've not got that far on the web designer track yet but its called; Photoshop Foundations.
You can also use CSS properties such as gradients and box shadows. A good starting point for these is found in this course; Designing with the Latest Features
