Did I get it right?

I just want to verify that I understood the concept. So I can use just $ajax() instead of $.post(), $.get(), and all seen in previous videos. Is that right?

You can use $.ajax instead of $.post if you configure ajax in the right way. Let's say $.post is a kindof shorthand to $.ajax({ method: "POST" }); Is it enough to understand?
