did you add True between the parentheses ? can someone help out

it told me to set a boolean value which will set off the alert "This is true"

I think you're literally just supposed to add true to the conditional statement. Not sure why it wouldn't recognize your answer. though. Here ya go:

if ( true ) {
    alert('This is true');
} else {
    alert('This is false');
}
