I am using wamp instead of xamp cause i'm running windows 8 and when i did it before n try to run my code, kept on getting a errors so i start using a wamp server without any problem so should i keep on using wamp or i need to change it in the future to xamp.

There are pros and cons to both. Moreover: you will face different quirks if you are on different operating systems, like difference between forward slashes and backslashes on Linux and OS/X vs. Windows.
I'm guessing for these reasons that your experience is a bit different from that of the lesson, as TeamTreehouse seems to run most things on Macs. I would use the same platform they are using, i.e. XAMP, and figure out what the unique differences are. Or, if you are running WAMP successfully without issue, keep on truckin'! There should be no ramification, other than a command being a little different here or there, or configuration files being structured differently. If you are comfortable with that, should be no problem.
