Disappearing CSS Styling

I'm adding my Contact Page styling in main.css. When I put it where Nick tells me, the colors in the header get wiped out. But when I put the new Contact Page styling below everything else, the colors in the header stay the way they're supposed to.

Obviously I need to move some styling code further up in the flow. But I'm not sure what to move. And I though I'd copied Nick almost exactly line for line and move for move so far.

Hi, Gary. I wanted to share this link on how to post code to the forum so that it retains its formatting. This will make the code you post easier to read and people will be more likely to respond to your questions. https://teamtreehouse.com/community/posting-code-to-the-forum

It was hard to see here because of the coloring. I only saw it when looking at my code in Workspaces with the white background!

Hi Gary,

I have had a read through your code and I did spot a couple of very minor errors, however other than theses nothing to suggest why a color change may have happened.

Please see below I made comments in the code were I edited :)

I would like to say if you are a beginner to coding, your code is super clean and for that I give you a massive thumbs up!!!

Hope this helps, if not maybe post a snapshot of your workspace :)

Craig

Thanks...I think I found something...

Before:

.contact-info li.phone a { background-image: url('../img/phone.png')

.contact-info li.mail a { background-image: url('../img/mail.png')

.contact-info li.twitter a { background-image: url('../img/twitter.png')

After: .contact-info li.phone a { background-image: url('../img/phone.png')}

.contact-info li.mail a { background-image: url('../img/mail.png')}

.contact-info li.twitter a { background-image: url('../img/twitter.png')}

Solution: Closing curly braces after "{ background-image: url('../img/phone.png')".

I removed just one of them to see what would happen and the colors disappeared again.

Well spotted Gary, these MOD's are over rated lol :)

If you post the full working code in an answer I will mark as best answer so people can see were the errors have been changed :)

Great work!
