Do I have to Learn iOS Development for Android Development ?

Hi,

I went through the course materials not sure if I have to learn iOS development, prior to Android development

Can I jump into Java straight away ?

You definitely don't need to learn iOS first! The courses are structured for you to jump right in. There are teacher notes below each video, and the first few videos for the Build a Crystal Ball project contain a lot of helpful references that you can read up on to supplement your learning. But give it a shot and let us know how it goes for you. A few people have said they go through it once to do it and then go through a second time to study it and understand it better.
