Do I need a Mac to develop iphone/ipad apps?

I currently work on a PC using Linux. I don't want to waste my time taking the iOS course if I need a Mac.

Thanks

You do need a Mac for iOS developlemt, or more precisely you need to be able to run xcode which is currently only for mac OSX. Technically you could use a Hackintosh PC (a PC set up to run OSX), but I think its generally easier to just get a Mac.
