Do I need a mac to make iPhone apps or take the iOS track?

I don't have a mac but I have an iPhone. I would like to make iPhone apps but I'm not sure if you need a mac or not.

You need Intel Macintosh hardware to develop iOS apps. The iOS SDK requires Xcode and that only runs on Macintosh machines.

You could also have a look at macincloud.com as a temporary solution to learn with.

Unfortunately no, you must run Xcode on a Mac. You can try macincloud, or there's a new service that might be helpful soon: http://xcodecloud.me/
