Do I need to be artistically inclined to make websites?

I've been enjoying learning how to create a basic website and plan to make an interactive language learning website. Somewhere far in the future with my free time. I am not artistically inclined so was wondering if this will this hinder me from making a good looking website?

Hi Susie, don't worry to much about that as long as you really love what you do and are willing to learn (and being a student of Treehouse kind of proves that, don't you think :-) )

I'd like to recommend the following Deep Dives/Projects:

- Aesthetic Foundations

- Design Foundations

- Usability Foundations

Kind Regards Holger

Thank you! I will look at those! Haw'aa!

Hi Susie, everything Holger suggested but I would also add that you should expose yourself to websites that display a collections of websites. Not to copy but to see what is popular among the design community. Some suggestions:

The Best Designs

I designed my first website without any knowledge of design, but one thing that I did was, showed it to old people and kids. they ll give you clues not even a master designer can give you. Simplicity is the key.
