Do I need to know about digital photography for this?

I am completely lost here. I do not know anything about photography nor really anything about photoshop as I am just learning Front End Development. Do I need to take separate classes to learn this? Is this something that is really important to know?

Hi Andrea!

No, you do not need any knowledge about digital photography to be able to do this. I remember having this question myself back when I begun, but you can relax! If you keep on learning you will be introduced to optimizing of images and photos for the web, but that won't be too hard to learn and the Treehouse teachers will teach you everything you need to know.

The reason that you want to learn about this has to do with optimizing your web sites. I hope this helps.
