Do programs using Function Expressions use less memory upon initial loading since FE's aren't read till initialised?

Do programs using Function Expressions use less memory upon initial loading since FE's aren't read till initialised? I figure if you have a bunch of code but want to load fast, you might want to use FE's so as to prevent hanging when loading.
