WordPress The WordPress Template Hierarchy How WordPress Templates Work Walkthrough of Example Site

Do we need to dowload again wordpress for each new project ?

I've already done one site with wordpress. In order to create a new site to follow the course wordpress theme template hierarchy, i wonder if i need to download wordpress again and create a new folder at the root of my local server(htdocs with xamp) or if i can do it directly in the folder of my first site ?

Thanks

Each new site you work on will need a new instance of Wordpress, so yes you'll need to copy a new instance of Wordpress in your htdocs directory.

Ok thanks !

I know your question is old by now so I guess this is for others checking to the questions!
In addition to creating a new WP directory, you need to create a new database file; you don't however need to create new users, you can use the same user accounts from the previous install.
