!doctype error

This is what i entered and still getting an error about doctype How should i pass this step of a quiz?

<html>
</html>

If you do a simple research on doctype you'll realise that you don't need the = : <!DOCTYPE html>. Also, you need to insert head and body.

Thanks a lot) i was struggling at this point. Coz what i see in example html doc is actually <!doctype = html>
