Does finishing a techdegree give certification or prepare you for cert testing in your line of code? Who recognizes TD?

Does finishing a techdegree give certification or prepare you for cert testing in your line of studied code? Who recognizes a TechDegree? Is it basically a digital certificate you earn for yourself or is there anything you will walk away with (mailed to you or able to print out) to show a prospective employer they can verify?

Advantage of tech degree vs traditional degree vs tradeschool re ability of employment (not cost and time)?

I would recommend reading their page all about the tech degree program, it's pretty extensive. To quickly answer your first question though - yes, you receive an official tech degree. As to the support of getting hired through having a tech degree certificate, that really depends on the company and their hiring managers. More and more businesses are starting to accept online learning platforms though so I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of businesses would be willing to accept a tech degree from here as a viable education.

Great question
