does python and ruby share this feature?

Ok so i am currently working on a project in which i am making a chat-bot in python, and I was wondering if there is something similar too or exactly like the 'sleep' method in ruby in python. because if there is i would like to add it to my chat bot. if anyone has an answer or idea please let me know!
