Does the Blog Reader project require the appcompat? I'm having a problem.

When I download the blog reader project files, they don't appear to come with the appcompat like they did with the crystal ball project files.

My main problem is that the main_list_activity.java, activity_main_list.xml, and other files are completely blank.

I have tried re-downloading, still blank.

I have tried, deleting all of the meta-data, creating a new workspace, and downloading again, but still blank.

I have a long list of errors in the console but the one at the top says "Project has no target set. Edit the project properties to set one." - I go to project/properties and the android build target appears to be set.

So the first question I need answered is whether or not the Blog Reader project needs the appcompat. Thanks
