I downloaded the project files just to check mine against them. They are the same. When running the animation (mine and Gill's) The animation runs kind of backwards. the stars appear, then turn yellow, then translate down, then the path works as normal. When I comment out the grow rule in SVG styles section the Stars rise as they should but will not stagger with the nth-of-type. With mine and Gill's. Seems like a browser issue.
