Domain name / Registrar troubles, please help!

Hi guys, my domain name is Sylinic.com, and it is due to expire in November, and I got it with my OLD hosting company(I don't know if I'm allowed to mention the company), but they are terrible and actually blocked me after multiple E-mails going unanswered asking politely to unlock the domain and give me the EPP - Domain authorization code. Has anyone experienced this or know what I could do to secure my domain name? The guy blocked me, but keeps sending me a DNS E-mail saying I need to pay 10 dollars to renew it.

Thanks for any help guys.

P.s. - I just came back from a hiatus from treehouse, glad to be back! Such a great community, missed you guys.

Oh lord, these are the only comments on their facebook page.

"This person has gone AWOL from his business, we NEED him to URGENTLY answer the MANY support tickets we have left for him, because our sites are being hacked left right and centre.

In fact, we have a NEW host now, joined them today, we are SICK of this promised support not being there, the only thing that is there, is the automatic billing... so he can be sure he gets his money....

WE WANT OUR SUPPORT AND WE WANT IT NOW.... we want our domains back so we can be rid of you.... NOW...

Anyone else having problems with this dude?"

"my sites have been down and have been trying to contact someone at hostsvault for three days now... anyone here have any idea how to make contact with them?"

"You people are SCUM and you are CROOKS. Anyone that hosts with you will get burnt. WORST HOSTS EVER!"

Annnd their website is offline now, this is a nightmare.
