Domains and Servers, assistance needed asap thanks.

I'm not really to sure what to list this under but I am going through a very annoying problem right now. After running through a discounted website here on teamtreehouse.com for a server and getting the info I needed in an email you get two codes to put into your domain, Unfortunately my codes are not working with my domain and as hard as I try it continues to fail no matter what I try. Can someone help me with any step by step stuff. If it helps I registered my domain through "namecheap.com" and my servers through "web hosting for students" Thank in advanced.

Do you mean your name servers? They can take from a few hours to a couple of days to update so the domain points to your hosting. Are you getting a specific error message or does it just not work? If it's not giving you an error you probably just need to wait.

Hi Donovan, here's how to change the nameservers on namecheap. Unfortunately, Web Hosting for Students doesn't have much public documentation, but they should've given you their nameservers and once again above is how to do that on namecheap.

Yes I mean the Name servers, it's been about three days now since I have run into this problem. The error message I'm getting is 3031166 which says that there receiving an error from the provider of the name servers. I'm not really sure what to do on this part without having the tutorial to follow as some kind of structured guideline. But hopefully soon this will all be fixed and it will be a problem of the past. I thank you very much for attempt at assistance. :)

Would you mind posting the format of the nameservers you are trying to update at namecheap? I wouldn't think they assigned specific namerservers to each customer, but that could be the case and why they haven't registered yet. However, 3 days is a little more time than expected.

You might also open a ticket with the student host if you haven't yet.

What are the name servers you are trying?

According to this video they should be:

ns1.securestudenthosting.com

ns2.securestudenthosting.com

Zac Gordon might be able to point you in the right direction.
