Domains & Hosting- updating changes to files

Just a very simple question. Nick has demonstrated how to use cyberduck to upload the html/css files to the live site after having purchased the domaine etc. When you make changes to your code, do you simply re-upload your files using the SFTP to replace the older version, and will this apply the changes? thanks, hope this isn't a dumb question.

Yes it should. You should backup your files first. I do not use cyberduck, I use FileZilla it ask me if I want to replace the file before I upload it

thanks :)
