Android

Done with "Build a Simple Android App". Now what? I've got a little problem with the "Android Development" track.

So here's the thing. Now that's I've finished the "Build a Simple Android App" course, The next steps in "Android Development" are:

1 - Publish an Android App - I am not interested in this currently, since I'm not good enough to build a good app worth publishing.

2 - Android Tools - This is basically not about programming, but tools we use to make it easier. I've been using Genymotion from the start, so I am kind of familiar with it.

3 - Build a Blog Reader Android App - And now suddenly, Ben is talking about some "Crystall Ball" app that I am supposed to be familiar with? Out of nowhere there are new things I'm supposed to know and I don't. And I kind of find it strange after we did the "Build a Simple Android App" with Android Studio and now I'm supposed to watch them on Eclipse. That's not that big of a problem tho, since Ben said it's not going to be one.

So now to my question. What do you recommend that I do now? How do I catch up with the new things I'm supposed to know in the "Blog Reader App"? I really like the whole Android Development thing and I enjoy java quite a bit, so I am hoping there's an solution to this problem of mine.

You're right I'm sorry :) I didn't check the content of the course and rushed into a conclusion.

Hi,

1) I'm pretty sure you can just go to the library and find the course you want to go through. 2) Same answer as 1) but this course doesn't take long. 3) I didn't see the "Crystall Ball" project course but that doesn't matter. It's not difficult to go on and to watch videos from Eclipse and using Android Studio, 99 % are the same.

So just continue learning, wether you are going to continue in the track or are going to choose another course from the library (https://teamtreehouse.com/library/topic:learn-android).

Jaroslav Vankat, I'm sorry to say this, but basically, nothing you said helped me.

I know I can go to the library and pick a course. But, as I said I look for a good recommendation which will help me go from the basic things (learned in "Fun Facts" app) to the things I should know in the "Blog Reader" app. I was hoping for an answer which contains feedback about a course.

Also I said I believe Ben when he said going from Eclipse to Android Studio won't be a problem. So there's no need to confirm that.

Ok, the things you learned in "Fun Facts" app are basically the things you need to know in "Blog Reader". I'm sure that if you wouldn't be able to continue from Fun Facts then Ben would have changed the course.
