5,154 PointsDon't bother with this course on Laravel 4 as it is way out-of-date
I'll start by saying that I think Treehouse and Hampton Paulk are fantastic! So please don't accuse me of "trolling." Unfortunately this particular course is out-of-date as fellow student Adrian pointed out over two years ago.
I tried to muddle through but after a few frustrating and wasted days I could see it is mission impossible to attempt to learn Laravel following instructions using an out-dated version while using the latest version.
And yes I realize the cost and effort of keeping instructional videos up-to-date in a field that is moving at lighting speed. My post is a warning to any new students attempting to take this course. Try the Laravel site instead.
