If I don't have a mac computer, how can I follow along and make it work?

1,956 PointsHello Dylan. You can run OS X in a windows computer instaling a virtual machine and running the OS X in there, then download xcode. Search in youtube a tutorial for doing what i told you. Good luck

39,199 PointsIt's probably not a good idea to try and use xcode without a Mac.
That being said, there are various online Mac virtual machine services.
I'd say this one looks promising http://www.hostmyapple.com/macvps.html
There's also building a hackintosh (not recommended)

39,199 PointsPeople are spilt on wether it is worth it's worth the effort to try to use a hackintosh.

In particular this quote "Don't expect Hackintosh to work on your current computer - 90% chance it won't." Apparently after updates things will break, hackintosh according to the thread is often quite brittle.
