Android Build an Interactive Story App (Retired) User Input Finding Views by IDs

dont understand challenge,tried and cant figure it out

trying to follow first challenge but can't get it, please help me walk through the question

You're missing the R.id part. And the ID of the button is button1. Make sure you read the tasks more carefully in the future. Here's what you need:

final Button mExterminateButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button1);
