It's super hard to troubleshoot just looking at row code. Try putting everything in a Codepen and than save it, and post the link here, and we can help you better.

On line 26 your have

<ul id:"gallery">

This is the wrong syntax so the CSS doesn't apply. Change it to <ul id="gallery"> and it should stack into two columns.
