Downloading and Parsing JSON Data

For the blog reader project i have decided that i would like to do the work for a blog that i use a lot. the problem is i dont know how to get the JSON data for this blog. How are you suppose to get it from another website?

You would have to ask them or see if they have a developer section that contains documentation on their API

Also can you use a twitter feed/ does twitter allow you to get JSON data?
