Downloading Android ADT not Working

Hi. I recently started the Android track and finished the Crystal Ball app. I then started the next app. The first video instructed me to download the android official adt. However, I cannot get it to properly work. I tried many things. When I open up the eclipse that is given in the bundle, there is no sign of any android-related buttons or icons. This may be due to the fact that I have downloaded eclipse in the past. But, I have no idea what is wrong. I tried re-downloading many times to no avail. If you could help with this that would be great. Thanks.

Sorry for your trouble! Are you downloading "Eclipse ADT" from this page here? http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

You can also just continue using the tools from the Crystal Ball app. The tools change quickly, but most things remain the same. The main concepts we teach in the courses are consistent across the tools.

I am downloading the "Eclipse ADT." However, it does not seem to work. Still get the same errors (the flash screen shows the eclipse logo rather than the adt one, and the eclipse has nothing android related once opened). Maybe a screenshot would be helpful to better understand the problems that are occurring. I think it would be good if I can get the Eclipse ADT to work as this would be helpful once I finish the courses.

Sorry for my late reply here! Have you gotten past this? I would recommend just using the tools you already had working from the Crystal Ball app. If you need to download them again, here's the link: http://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-android-app/getting-started-with-android/android-setup-and-the-crystal-ball-project-2
