Hey, troy beckett

If you downloaded and installed that font on your machine, than it locally saved on your computer and you could access it like any other default fonts you have on PC, e.g. Arial, Tahoma, etc. But you won't be able to "share" this fonts to the others who visits your site, because it's only on your PC, except that they have already installed it, like you did.

You said it didn't work, but where? On your local machine or on a web-server? In your case it should work on your PC, but shouldn't on a web-server.

Try to use some fonts web services like Google Fonts or others, and check Treehouse videos of HTML/CSS, like this ONE to understand it more clearly.
