Downloading from the web with NSData

Hey everyone, Just a quick question : to display any sources (image, text,...) from the web do I always need to use NSData to store it first and then display it? No quicker/other ways to do it? Cheers

most of the time yes. Thats the way most APIs will work. It would take too long and be to cumbersome to download the actual image file itself, so you just download the data for that file from their end and piece it together on your end (using methods such as imageWithData)

Great, thanks for the prompt reply mate :)
