dragging and dropping image files

I am doing the basic html course and Nick is asking me to drag and drop the image files he got me to download into the blank part of my work space, I am selecting them as he said to do and dragging them to the darkest bit but when I let go nothing happens, has anyone had this problem before and if so, what did you do?

Did you unzip the folder after downloading it? Trying right clicking on the downloaded How to Make a Website folder and select 'Extract All' Workspaces won't upload compressed files.
