So I am hammering out a few applications for summer internships, but I'm curious: if you wanted to be a UX designer when YOU grew up, where would you want to intern?

11,364 PointsFunny you should say that. =) They were actually the very first application I put out. I'm now in the midst of a little research to see who I should be chatting up to get my name on their radar. The place just sounds like a dream.

11,364 PointsA few of the obvious long shots I've just got to try for: Google, Mozilla, Amazon, LinkedIn, etc. I'm not SET on one of the tech behemoths or anything; it's just that the experience, the recognizable name, and the pay combine to make those internships a really attractive option. Also, I've worked for a bootstrapped startup, and, this spring, I'll be interning with a funded startup... It would be good to get some experience on the other side of the spectrum.
Ultimately, though, I just want to land an internship where I can get real, practical experience doing UX work.
