The problem is that a message or comment is posted every time the submit button is pressed so if there is a delay in server response, people will try pressing the button again (or possibly many times) until something happens. When I posted this I believe that one thread had been posted 5 times in a row lower on the front page. You can test it simply by pressing the post button twice when you reply.
