1,303 PointsEasier ways to learn basic concepts of Objective-C
I've been on the Learn iOS Development track, and I find Mr.Turners tutorials to be a little confusing ... and all happening too fast. There isn't that step by step break down that was used in web development tracks by Treehouse. Is there another resource out there that anyone recommends to learn the basics of Objective-C? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time

14,222 PointsHey Zach,
I am a beginner too, but I'll share a few recommendations based on what I have been doing.
First, just keep going! I too found some of the information in Mr. Turner's videos to be pretty confusing at first; however, at the end of the Objective C basics course, Amit takes over and explains some of the key concepts that were introduced in the earlier videos.
Second, Code School (which is probably a Treehouse competitor, sorry Treehouse!) put out a really nice free Try Objective C course that I think explains the basic concepts of Objective C really really well. Don't jump ship for Code school though! Treehouse is much better IMO. Not only does Treehouse have significantly more content on Objective C but it also has a lot more depth. The Code School course is only a few hours long, and will offer a greater understanding of the concepts for when you come back here. Here is the link for the codeschool course
Third, I have gone through a few Ray Wenderlich intro tutorials and I think those have really helped my understanding of Objective C as well. Here is a link to one of his tutorials
I also have looked at a few of the tutorials that were put out by apple and I think that they are definitely worth looking at. Here is one of the Intro Apple Tutorials
It took some time, but after using all these resources things have started to make sense to me.
Hopefully this helps!
