JavaScript DOM Scripting By Example Editing and Filtering Names Moving to an Editing State

Edit Button

When I hit the "Edit" button, the editing input would be on the "confirmed" text and I am not sure what is causing it.

else if (button.textContent === "Edit") {

   const span = li.firstElementChild;
   const input = document.createElement("input");
   input.type = "text";
   input.value = span.textContent;
   li.insertBefore(input, span);
   li.removeChild(span);
    button.textContent = "save";
     }

}
});

Can you post your whole JS code, so that we can see where exactly is the problem.

Is your Edit button's E an uppercase or a lowercase?

If it's lowercase then try:

(button.textContent === 'edit')
