JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Add an Else If Clause

Else If alert is working but...

I receive a 'Bummer!' statement when I Check Work on this code. The alert returns Welcome Student but the Bummer statement says it doesn't see 'Welcome student in the the alert.' I have tried adding semi-colons but get the same result. Thank you

var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = true;

if ( isAdmin ) { alert('Welcome administrator') } else if ( isStudent ) { alert('Welcome Student') }

script.js
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = true;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator')
} else if ( isStudent ) {
  alert('Welcome Student')
}

Hi dotz,

Your code is correct. The issue is with the word student, the S should not be capital.
