Elusive pixel grid

Hi,

I'm currently running Photoshop CS6 (64bit) on Windows 7. The trouble I'm having is that the pixel grid doesn't seem to activate despite me ensuring that "Pixel Grid" is selected within the View --> Show drop down menu. Before anyone asks, yes, I've made sure to follow the instruction in the video and have tried zooming in past 600% and the background remains blank.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Is there another check-box that should be selected somewhere? I'll keep digging until I figure this out and posting here is part of that process.

Thanks all,

Chris

did you try to hit Control + h (command + h on mac) to show it up?

The issue was that I had a blank work-space and was expecting the pixel grid to populate. I added some color to the area and voila, the pixel grid was made visible. Thanks for your help!
