Email marketing service

Tree house has awesome emails. From transaction, to updates and marketing. There are a lot of triggers. What email tools does treehouse use? Also does your team use any template builders to help drag and drop or is it all done one off via code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am learning html of course but will need to have a template builder tool for newsletters, etc.. Also our CMS will probably generate emails like forgot password, thanks for signing up, etc... Any thoughts on the best way to handle multiple platforms if that is the case?

Hi Ryan,

Have you checked out the HTML Email course? http://teamtreehouse.com/library/html-email-design They might not cover exactly what you're looking for but they discuss mobile-specific and responsive email design. If you expand the "Going Mobile" section of the course, there are some additional resources in the extra credit section; these might be right up your alley (MailChimp email blueprints is one of them).

I will definitely check it out. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I agree I am more looking at an overview of the best way to set up a cms with email transactions straight from the cms and managing designs across platforms such as using Amazon SES in cms and mail chimp for marketing newsletters. Definitely do not want to use marketing tools to send transactional emails because no need to pay for all those features when an email doesn't need to be edited quick and easy since it is more of a one time set up with variables.

I watched the videos and am curious how Treehouse mass emails all of it's clients. What's key is that it doesn't include a footer for Constant Contact, MailChimp and others.

Any ideas what's used?
