any body else having trouble with the emulator?

the emulator is very slow to start. are you getting any kind of error message?

as long as you have android blinking across the emulator screen you just have to wait. I have also found that depending on your computer's speed. If you choose a phone with lower specs that has less ram it will help boot the emulator faster.

You really should try Genymotion. Once you get it, you'll never go back to the basic emulator

No error message, I restarted the emulator and I had to wait patiently. I will also check out Genymotion.
