why we need to use encoding like base64?

Hi Chenzi, It seems that you would use Base64 for transferring information over a network (like HTTP) so that it never gets corrupted. The server and client programs would be set up to send and receive the information in Base64. This would not be the same as encryption, since Base64 is not secure.
