Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype String Equality

equalsIgnoreCase

tries both the ways flipping the string variables

String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if(thirdExample.equalsIgnoreCase(firstExample))

  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");

You are acutally very very close, and if you read the challenge again you can see it asks you to add another if statement - this mean that you should leave the first statement as it was.

String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}

if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) {
  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}
